The Three Rivers Festival is Indiana's second largest summer festival, a family-friendly nine day community celebration. Over nine days, Three Rivers Festival draws nearly a half million visitors from northeastern Indiana, southern Michigan and northwestern Ohio! Come join us as we celebrate our 51st year in Fort Wayne!

The 3rd annualThree Rivers Festival Heart of the City, a two-day local art show, located in Freimann Square parking lot, in the heart of Fort Wayne's Cultural District, is part of the opening weekend of Three Rivers Festival. We hope you'll join us as one of the 45 highly talented, unique artists who gain exposure to the nearly 30,000 guests making their way to Heart of the City and Art in the Park each year.

Staff and volunteers dedicated to making your weekend comfortable and successful
Artists are allowed to share booths.

Please join us for our THIRD annual ?Art in The SkatePark? & silent art auction produced by local artist Amber Marie Cox.

Once again,we supply local and non-local artists used and broken skateboards, and they transform them into amazing pieces of donated art work!

Silent auction starts at 5pm when doors open, winners will be announced at 7:30 and will be able to take their won items that night.

Cash and cards are Happily accepted.

All proceeds benefit the Indoor Skatepark

Picture This is back with Picture This: 3!
This is a one of akind artists collaboration!

Picture This 3: A Collaboration between Poetry and Visual Art
Doors open at 730, show starts promptly at 8p

We are pairing poets with visual artists. The poets will submit their pieces, and visual artists will be blindly paired with a poet. The visual artist will create a piece based on their interpretation of the poem, through any visual medium. The visual artists and poet will learn who they had been partnered with the night of the event, where poets will read their piece alongside the artwork.

This is a one of a kind artist collaboration! the stayat home order have been dismissed by the current date, we will plan to move forward with the event as planned. However, if circumstances change that do not permit us to gather, the event will be postponed to a later date.Heart of the City will provide updates as to any change of plans as the date draws nearer.

Picture This is a collaborative art show of poetry and visual art. Local artists will be paired randomly with local poets to create visual renditions of individual poems. At the event, selected writers will be readingthese poems (and more) alongside the collaborative art piece.

The show takes place on Thursday, July 30th, 2020 from 8pm ? 11pm
Doors at 7:30 to Welch House / Tiger Room
This is subject to change due to any current social distancing extension that would be out of our control.

Poets will be asked to read the poem that was submitted, along with their choice of upto two other poems. A total of 5 minutes allotted for each reader.

?Picture This' 3 is an effort to combine forces between two mediums that are oftentimes left to the imagination.

Much like putting a ?face to the name,? we are bringing words to color.

18+ is SUGGESTED due to content material but not required.

Open mic if time allows.
