About: Started the bakery back in May of 2014 at the Barr st Farmers Market.
Since then I have went from home-based business, to a certified
kitchen, and now to a permanent brick and mortar store front in the
Downtown area, which is coming up to our 2 year Anniversary of opening
the store front!
Here at Abigail’s Confections, we bake from scratch, use butter, real
fruit, no added preservatives, and lots of love and passion goes into
what we do. My team consists of Me (owner, baker, decorator,boss),
Cherie (mother in law, dishwasher, baker, assistant), Tyler (husband,
support, delivery). All three of us have come from baking business or
owning our own business so this team is pretty awesome.
A little about myself, I just turned 30, been baking with one of my
grandmother’s for what seems like my whole life. Some Recipes I use
now are the same ones I used during the time spent with my
Grandmother. I graduated college at Ivy Tech in 2009 with a degree in
hospitality administration, specializing in baking and pastry. I have
two dogs, a beautiful sassy niece, and the most amazing supportive
Some things to look for at my bakery/booth are jumbo cookies of a
variety of flavors, in-house made Graham crackers and marshmallows,
danishes/pastries, cinnamon rolls, iced sugar cookies, lemon squares,
and the list continues to grow!
