About: Time soars when you’re making a thing, suddenly it’s morning and the
work day has come again. for all the times my brain has been forced to
function in facts and figures, I want to give it equal or more balance
to see the way it purely wants – in imagination and hearts echoing
back.I’mm thrilled with making drawings+paintings+mix
media+collage+thread+sewn+prints+photos+words. love: lines, geometric,
earthy, symbols, nature, states of the heart, tattoo style, light v.
dark, rendering of dreams and nightmare, you &me. thanks for reading,
hope you can come!

Artist Profile: Meg McCauley | Sew What

About: I’m an artist that dabbles in a little bit of everything. I started as
a burlesque performer, and along with performing I learned a lot about
stage costuming. Baking has always been an interest of mine as well.
This led me to start Nutmegg Bakes. My home bakery is known for its
pies, pastries, and cakes. Embroidery is my most recent passion
project. I love being able to create something physical that shows
what’s going on in my imagination.

Artist Profile: Lindsay Miller / Abigail’s Confections

About: Started the bakery back in May of 2014 at the Barr st Farmers Market.
Since then I have went from home-based business, to a certified
kitchen, and now to a permanent brick and mortar store front in the
Downtown area, which is coming up to our 2 year Anniversary of opening
the store front!

Here at Abigail’s Confections, we bake from scratch, use butter, real
fruit, no added preservatives, and lots of love and passion goes into
what we do. My team consists of Me (owner, baker, decorator, boss),
Cherie (mother in law, dishwasher, baker, assistant), Tyler (husband,
support, delivery). All three of us have come from baking business or
owning our own business so this team is pretty awesome.

A little about myself, I just turned 30, been baking with one of my
grandmother’s for what seems like my whole life. Some Recipes I use
now are the same ones I used during the time spent with my
Grandmother. I graduated college at Ivy Tech in 2009 with a degree in
hospitality administration, specializing in baking and pastry. I have
two dogs, a beautiful sassy niece, and the most amazing supportive
family.

Some things to look for at my bakery/booth are jumbo cookies of a
variety of flavors, in-house made Graham crackers and marshmallows,
danishes/pastries, cinnamon rolls, iced sugar cookies, lemon squares,
and the list continues to grow!

About: Custom Cakes, hand-crafted ice cream, geeky chocolates, cookies, pies,
and anything you can imagine…if you can dream it, we can make it.

From learning the pastry arts in Muncie in the early 2000’s until
Christmas of 2011 when we made our first geek themed chocolate as
Christmas presents for our like-minded friends were interesting years,
but they brought us to what we are today. Folks seem to love what we
do, whether it’s the play on words like our Han Rolo or the unique ice
cream flavors like Droid Tracks (salted caramel, chocolate, peanut
butter and peanut butter cups), or any of our 42 flavors of cake
decorated into one of a kind piece of art, we continue to make people
smile.
