As we head into our second year hosting HeART in the Park across the full park, we’re excited to continue growing something that has always been about creatives supporting creatives. While this is our second year expanding into the entire park, our artist community has been coming together through this event since 2017.

This event has always been artist-led, and every part of it is made possible by volunteers from our local creative community who believe in creating opportunities for artists to connect, share their work, and support one another.

HeART in the Park creates a space for local artists to showcase their work, connect with each other, and engage with the community in the beautiful setting of Freimann Square. It also happens the same weekend as the Chalk Walk with the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, making for a full weekend celebrating creativity in downtown Fort Wayne.

If you’re an artist interested in participating, sign-up and application information can be found below. Deadline for applications is May 1st, 2026.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help bring the weekend to life—whether assisting with load-in and load-out, helping at the info booth, supporting the stage, or pitching in with the many behind-the-scenes tasks it takes to make an event like this run smoothly. We’d love to have you involved!
